Amylocaine Hydrochloride and its Impurities

Amylocaine Hydrochloride was the first synthetic local anesthetic. It was synthesized and patented under the name Stovaine by Ernest Fourneau at the Pasteur Institute in 1903.It used to be used mostly in spinal anesthesia.
