rosiglitazone maleate

An oral antidiabetic agent that belongs to thiazolidinedione class of drug, used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. Rosiglitazone is an insulin sensitizer and works by binding to the PPAR in fat cells, making the cells more responsive to insulin.
