A hydroxylated derivatives of stilbene, Resveratrol is natural phenol found in plants sources. Used in the treatment of various heart diseases, neurological disorders, diabetes, skin care and cancer also. Chemically, Resveratrol is 3,5,4'-trihydroxystilbene which exists in two geometric isomers: cis- (Z) and trans- (E).
